Ace Le Count
Hi, all. I bought a 914 as my first car at age 10, and I'm ready to get back in the 914 game. I'm now 22 and am looking for a solid project.

What I'm looking for:

Year: Doesn't matter
Engine: Doesn't matter
Condition: Complete/Close to it.
Rust: As little as possible! A solid car is a must. I don't mind doing a little bodywork, or welding small patches, if needed. Nothing too crazy.

Budget: around $4-6k for the right car.

Basically, I'm just looking for a solid car that's not too far gone and could maybe, just maybe, be something that I could drive as I work on it. I don't mind traveling, either

Thanks!

Edit: I also have a really clean 1978 Honda CB750, if anyone is interested in trades. I'm located by Kingman, AZ. Thanks again!

It would be a good idea to let people know where you are located.

That CB750 is a great bike, had a 1980

Thanks, I just looked at it! I will keep an eye on the auction.

I will be listing my 74 2.0 soon to make room in my garage.
The only draw back is that it has rust.
It is a complete car though, I have all the parts minus the front windshield. I have a bunch of metal purchased from RD and some patch sections.

Look for it in the next day or so. I will have pics of it as well.

Thanks
Kevin

We have a 1973 Porsche 914 2.0 project

PROS
-appearance package with center console, rear sway bar, and 15x5.5 Fuchs
-rare 98 paint code paint to sample Sepia Brown
-fairly solid unwrecked body, car is untouched and unmolested
CONS
-Car does have some rust. Some in the hell hole, spare tire well, and rear trunk area
-It hasn't run since 1992.
-converted to carb long ago but still have the fuel injection ECU

We're in St Augustine, Florida. Here is a link to many pictures and several videos of the car.

"Car has some rust..." yeah, that's a fair statement. biggrin.gif

Man, I do not know how many '73 2.0 cars were Sepia Brown when new, but I bought one (sepia brown) brand new in early '74 and loved it. I believe mine had a darker brown interior though. Every time I see one, I wish I had my original '73 back. This car is definitely worth saving and appears to be all there. It would be a great project. GLWTS. beerchug.gif Michael

Oh, and a comment about pictures - that is how to post pictures of a car for sale. Every inch of that car is pretty much there for a potential buyer to see. (IMHO)

I have a 73 914 2.0 you might be interested in, not within your price range, but I live in Kingman and you might want to look at it. My land line is 928-718-9849. We do not answer it, but leave your name and number. I will call you back and we can set up a time for you to come over. I'm a 50 year PCA member. The car has always been a southern Ca. and Az. car. Always garaged in my ownership. I've owned it since 1988. My name is Bob.Click to view attachment

I'm looking for something kind of like this:

This one sold before I could get out there. And it ended up selling for only $3,590!

Not sure if this is what you are wanting, but a 75 just came up on Facebook Marketplace about an hour ago in North Las Vegas for 2,500. Looks like the owner is motivated to sell. Sellers description states frame is 100% rust free with rust on the floor and battery tray. Good luck...

Sorry, I should have included the link. I went back into my history and looks as if it sold within a day or two. Not sure if this link will work or not.
