I'm replacing the angle drive (because it's not working). And I'm replacing the guide bushing with the upgraded 914Rubber version, which has a rubber gasket and an internal washer where the angle drive attaches.

My question is about the gasket and the aluminum washer. The rubber gasket goes in first with the flat side down, then the washer.

1. My old drive guide looks like it has two rubber gaskets in the shaft. I can't get them out to be sure. Any thoughts on why? Is this just a bush fix to stop leaks?

This is a 1976, with the 901.
