I am planning on having a big Type4 built for a 912 project and have already sourced a core engine.
Has anyone used this shop / can comment on the quality of work done? SCAT in Redondo is another option. Other suggestions in greater SoCal? Thanks! https://www.headflowmasters.com/ |

Built my own motor but used Jorge in torrance for parts and some machine work.
if you build a large type 4 it will need a oil cooler |

How was the experience working with Jorge? SCAT is eye wateringly expensive, not an option for me at this point. Anyone have experience working with Adrian at Headflow? |

I did an exchange with them probably 8-10 years ago, it was a 2.0 for my 78 westy. Adrian i believe is the owners name he was fine to deal with, it was a good price, and the engine ran great no problems at all with good power etc. he did the break-in before I picked it up and actually fired it up for me on his stand.
