Did you peruse BaT? There are some very original cars with engine photos with carbs exposed on there.

I'm charging the battery on mine right now, I can take a couple pictures.
If you want concours originality though, be aware I pulled the cold start valve and fuel line T a long time ago.

Cold start valve? I was unaware our Weber equipped /6 engines had this feature

Yep, at least the very early models. 'T' into the fuel line after the filter, went to a valve that was temperature sensitive I believe and connected to the starter solenoid. That provided raw fuel to rails in the air cleaner housing that sprayed right down the carb stacks. What could possibly go wrong??
