Looking for ideas. thanks I have a mechanical oil gauge in my car mounted in the center console. My car is a Subaru conversion but that doesn’t really affect the gauge. I originally ran plastic line that came with the gauge down the center tunnel. That was until some stinkin’ rodent chewed it in two. Now it is 1/8” copper and no problems since. I like the accuracy of the mechanical gauge. |

I once used one to check oil pressure until I hooked up the dash gauge. Off the rack gauge from flaps and a hose from a grease gun.

maybe an old guy thing, I like having an oil pressure a (1/8") copper tube fed and oil temperature (capillary tube) gauges. I found a couple small 1 1/2" diameter gauges, mount them on the passengers side of the tunnel. work well

Just got my engine back in. I have a permanent gauge in the engine compartment that is ran off of a tee from the electrical gauge sender. It’s nice having the mechanical reference because my electrical gauge showed about 12 pounds of hot idle pressure, but the mechanical gauge read 18lbs.
