I need to replace 4 exhaust studs that backed out while removing the heat exchangers on a '73 1.7 . I assume the EA engine is original.
The studs that came out, look like they are M8 at the nut side and slightly bigger at the port side probably M9 ( (IMG:style_emoticons/default/confused24.gif) ), and they are 53mm long. PET describes an "AM 8 x 53" for the 1.7 qty.8 ... but then describes a "CM 9 A X M8 X 56" [longer and kind of implies it's M8 on one end and M9 on the other] for the 1.7 and 2.0, but then qty. "X" ( (IMG:style_emoticons/default/confused24.gif) ) Then to confuse things more - I was gonna buy the following set that says they work for both 1.7 / 2. 0 .... but the ends look to be the same size (un-like mine that backed out) ! Why does every little thing have to be so confusing (IMG:style_emoticons/default/headbang.gif) https://www.ebay.com/itm/275131509056 |
