Not really well titled but will proceed with more info ;
Engine hasn't been started for about 1yr due to an unrelated issue that I have only just found out about , so over that period I would expect the sump is holding a fair chunk of the oil tank capacity? ,for that reason the change of these exhaust valve covers will require a sump drain due to flood back from the stock tank ?.
Old mag covers are buggered really even after being resurfacing twice,,they have gone soft I had these on and twice and got minimal leakage because the engine had been recently run .
I have the covers , VR gaskets and mounting hardware ,thoughts from others would be very helpful ,cheers.
