I am refurbishing the handbrake and im wondering how the handbrake itself connects to the cable. Mine was a bit rusted, but it looks like the pin thats in there is rusted together? or is it part of the cable? in any event, i was wondering if i need to drill that out and use a clevis pin with cotter. the end with the equalizer is in great condition. Just wondering what the mainstream fix is for this.
Thanks for any help! and after some digging...it looks like 914 Rubber has this part:
https://914rubber.com/new-parking-brake-pin...lNV7aDoNb7dPm3b its described as a "Parking Brake Pin for Yoke Assembly with 5mm E-Clip" so if the "E-Clip" is 5mm, i would wager that the clevis pin diameter is probably right at 6mm. im gonna order this. plus, it looks alot like Garland's (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif) |
