$540.00 for pushrod tubes seems like quite the investment.

Tangerine has a set for $330.00, but they aren't billet, they are stainless.

What are you trying to solve for? Seems to me that the only benefit would be less resistant to damage/leaks in the tube itself. Most of the leaks come from the seals, not the tubes themselves.

'm having a 2.1 built right now and I did the evaluation based on cost/benefit and it was not worth it for me. I went with a set of high quality tubes and invested in the best seals/prep work.

I deferred to Ken Jansen, who is building my motor. He typically goes with OEM stuff, I would guess that's what he's going with. From what I've gathered here, the type IV tubes are. It as problematic as the type I tubes.

I'm still a new guy around here, someone else, more knowledgeable will be along soon. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif)

They are expensive but work well. Along with Viton seals, they fit very snugly into mating bores. They are a bit of a pain to remove them without pulling heads off engine.

Tangerine Racing stainless tubes are pretty cool too but do not fit as tight into tube bores. These stainless tubes have a ring welded to them which make installation/removal of them very easy.
