Well, life has taken the wheel and I'm going to have to let my 1972 'Teener go to a new caretaker.
Located in Los Angeles, Ca. With all the upgrades it's a gift at $15000. Please read on... Current, clean title in my name. It runs and drives right now with an OUTRAGEOUS 300 WHP Turbo Hayabusa engine package. But the engine package is already headed to a new car so I'm selling what's left. And it's a LOT. I'll do my best to describe. also a dropbox with 50 pics is linked here: 914 Pics I bought this from the family of a person who did a cost no object build back in the 90s that included a turbo V6 (not my first choice). I removed that engine and added mine, replacing nearly everything along the way. Back then, a laser-straight black paint-job was done. It's really straight. After that owner passed suddenly, it sat for nearly 20 years before I got it, so there is some hangar rash including a small dent in one rocker from falling off a stand. Minor rust around the windshield. No rust in the floors or longs. Hell hole solid. Definitely NEVER had a wreck. Listing of parts and upgrades. All in nearly new condition. SUSPENSION AND BRAKES: Cookie cutter wheels with Falken Azenas. Under 2k miles 911 brakes, hubs, calipers, and all that. Cable parking brake conversion. 19mm master Bilsteins all around 19mm front torsions 150lb rear springs All new wheel bearings Delrin bushings everywhere 4 wheel alignment Turbo tie rods Through the body front sway with sphericals Rear sway with new bushings Car tracks perfectly and handles really well. Brakes totally manage my 300HP performance level. No slop anywhere. BODY AND CHASSIS: Rust free and never hit. Show quality paint that's old but still amazing Hood is vinyl wrapped. Checking present underneath Fiberglass bumpers with chrome wrap that fools everyone Custom bolt-in roll-bar Rear window urethaned in Dyna-mat on rear bulkhead Rectangular hole in bulkhead for ECU mount. Panel included Custom front valance for radiator intake Engine cover included, but NOT painted black Plastic rocker covers included Slick top painted roof Custom panel made to rivet on roof for rigidity. Not yet rivetted though. Bolt on roof brackets All locks work with one key Windows, latches, all that works well New body seals EVERYWHERE Car is rattle-free and tight. DRIVE: Carrera axles and CV's. All new. TWO 901 trans. One 4-speed converted with F-P-Z-H (flipped).Rebuilt in the 90s likely less than 1k miles on it. The other one is in the car and is stock. Double o-ring speedo drive Cable shift setup Full stock side-shift setup included as well Kennedy pressure plate, Patrick Motorsports clutch disc. Combo easily holds 300lbs of torque. Under 2k miles on all that. Feels great New clutch cable New throw-out bearing All this handles 300+ hp easily COOLING AND PLUMBING: Massive aluminum radiator Liquid intercooler heat exchanger Brushless cooling fan (ECU pwm controlled) New 1.5" coolant hoses run through the longs Oil to water oil cooler. Full hard-lines for intercooler water. These could be re-purposed for OIL in an air-cooled setup. Aluminum dry sump tank sourced from Ben on this site. Oil separator Coarse and fine fuel filters 3" stainless muffler custom mounted to trans tail This setup would easily cool and lube a 400+ HP motor. Or if you go air-cooled, you already have the oil tank and cooler plumbing. Interior and Electrical: Every exterior light works. Fog and driving lights on extra relay Replaceable bulb euro headlights All the lenses are in great shape or new FULL Speedhut gauges (see pic) Boost gauge in custom mount EGT gauge and probe All the sending units. Custom relay panel for fans and pumps Defrost fan is new and works Horn works Nice dash pad I have the glovebox door. Included Carpet kit included I'm sure I'm missing some stuff, but that's the most of it. Also included are a ton of other parts. Interior bits, hardware, so much. I also have the extensive documentation from the original build. It's interesting reading. So, if you want a shortcut to your high HP 914 dream, this is it. Go V8, or other water cooled engine, or use the existing oil system and tank and do an air cooled option. Clutch and PP go right on a 914 flywheel. A few pics in next post, but go to the dropbox to see more. |
