Does anyone know of a vendor that has stock of eight OEM 10mm Valve Adjustment Screws (022-109-451)? Reading about the poor quality reproductions being sold, I first checked with the local Porsche dealer who told me that none are in stock anywhere in the US. Online vendors for the OEM part number I checked list them as NLA.
Assuming the OEM parts are NLA, I read mixed reviews on the Kolb (Kolbenschmidt) brand reproductions - and since I plan to switch over to swivel-feet adjusters later this year anyway, I thought I would give the Kolb parts a try (my adjusters are in bad shape). FCP Euro stated they were in stock, but after placing the order I received an email stating that their supplier only has one in stock - so I canceled that order. Other vendors must use the same supplier because when I checked inventory of the Kolb part elsewhere they also stated only one available. I just noticed that AA lists the Kolb part. If I don't get any leads on OEM parts from folks here, I'll try calling AA tomorrow to see if they actually have eight of the Kolb parts on-hand. Thanks for any leads, Frank [Edit] I forgot to mention that I'm going to call a VW dealer tomorrow to see if they possibly have stock |

You could take the one you found and add it to the 7 here:

This is what I am running. I have a set of rocker arms done by Tabari ready to go that I will be selling. These are 10 mm. Click to open.

I prefer Thorstens adjusters due to the allen adjustment vs the flat (slot)
They are also made of tool steel |

@914Sixer , Thanks for letting me know about the Thorsten Pieper adjusters. I've read so many conflicting comments about the quality of the after-market swivel feet (8mm or 10mm), that my plan was to play it safe and go the 1.7 rockers with OEM 911 adjusters. But, this means sourcing the 1.7 rockers, having them machined, and then (if I understand correctly) resetting the valve geometry.
I guess there is no surprise here, but I see from an old FB post from Tabari that, as with the 1.7 rockers with 911 adjusters, the use of the Thorsten Pieper adjusters requires the 10mm rockers to be shaved and counter-sunk. But here's my question: what about the valve geometry - does that need to be reset? My objective for keeping things simple/safe and going with the non-swivel adjusters for now is that I plan to take the 914 to an event in three weeks, and I have other tasks to complete to get the car ready. If the Thorsten Pieper adjusters were plug-and-play, then I'd go for it. But I don't have time to get the rockers machined, nor do I want to risk anything going wrong even if I did find a shop that claims they could do the work immediately. Plus, there's the whole question of valve geometry. But after the event, then I will need to explore whether to go with the Thorsten Pieper adjusters, or the traditional 1.7 rockers w/911 adjusters. |

The challenge is that the OE alum. PR's will likely be too long when applying just the footed adjusters.
The reason for machining the rockers is to provide room for the foot to articulate when adjusted up in the rocker near the limit of the threaded shank. Typically you will also be applying Chromoly PR's & cut to length to achieve ideal .5 lift geometry |
