Had to arrange resistors to get Apple approved voltages at the data pins. Worth having and a great addition. USB c will be that much better. Do you have a plug in amp for the car so you can play guitar via the speakers? |

I opted for a fairly discreet under-dash install. 2x USB A from a 12V-5V converter mounted inside the console (about $15). Adapter for USB-C stuck in. More or less invisible from the normal sitting position. That's a very clean install I like it, I need more than 2 ports, I have a dash cam, 9" monitor, AI box and a phone to charge |

Yow, that’s a lot of stuff… mine is just for the phone which I use as nav and music… plus one for a passenger. I do have another round one mounted inside the box under the center cushion.
I didn’t find any 4-ports-in-a-row models, the closest is the round one someone posted above… Mine is actually a converter that has two panel mount sockets on short cables, the sockets have threaded mounting holes. |

Preferably to amplifier. Or perhaps headphones. We all have seen the Porsche models crushing body panels in bathing wear. Now think of Mr Jimmy doing the same plugged in. Gotta have it. Or at least charging through USB. Maybe USB C will stick asa standard. |

And the electric guitar. Preferably to amplifier. Or perhaps headphones... OK, I chuckled. GA, who removed his radio entirely because it was a distraction, and just wants a basic USB port to keep his phone charged up for basic longer-distance navigation while he listens to the song of the engine, and the wind blowing by... |
