I've spent the past few months getting acquainted with practical applications for AI. As part of my learning, I wanted to see if I could build a useful knowledge agent for 914 information. Thus born 914 AnswerBot.

It has simple password protection just to knock down bots. If prompted, enter 914_world.

I guess I'd call it beta at this stage. I'm interested to hear if this is useful to the community. If so, I can expand the source document library and refine it. If not, no hard feelings. It was educational for me either way.

Two out of three questions asked had spot on answers. This could be very valuable. Keep at it and thanks.

I think more extensive references would be helpful.

“ The documents do not explicitly state the number of different Djet ignition harnesses made for the Porsche 914. However, there are multiple wiring harness part numbers listed for various models and years of the 914, including those related to the engine and ignition system. For example, wiring harness part numbers such as 914 612 018 13, 914 612 047 10, 914 612 317 12, and others are mentioned, but it is not specified which are specifically for the Djet ignition system or how many distinct Djet ignition harnesses exist.

Therefore, based on the provided documents, I don't know how many different Djet ignition harnesses were made for the Porsche 914.

Admirable effort, but I wonder if this takes us down the AI rabbit hole in favor of interaction among members to answer technical questions. It seems it would also inhibit new people to the world of 914s from asking for help and information from the membership base. 914World is such a treasure of information and fellowship that I would hate to see it become another sterile, digitized platform. I hope we can tread lightly in this direction.

I think that it could be very useful for faster answers when the more knowledgeable members cannot reply soon enough. However the questions I asked yielded inaccurate results. That implies that the source database needs to be expanded with verified information. Perhaps I'll have to prepare a document.

I think you have an uphill battle to fight in this context: the World has so many great normally intelligent sources willing to provide and flesh out answers. Member answers often lack complete bibliographies though, so sharpen up folks! That said, thanks for giving this a try.

I think a bot that could bring you straight to the posts with the most relevant answers would be awesome.
