A magnet strip glued to the shroud may accomplish what you are looking for.
Another alternative may be gluing a nut onto the floor so you can screw into it without drilling a hole. |

You are cutting a big rectangular hole in the floor so how bad can it be to drop in some riv nuts or similar.
I’m building a big metal box that will be welded in but have a removable access panel for the cooler and a/c condenser. It won’t look at all like the GT piece but I don’t really care as long as it looks nice. I feel like the fiberglass shroud is more of a race piece than how I plan to use the car. |
