After lowering the auxiliary carrier cross member, will the steering rack clear the brake master cylinder when pulling it out? I really don't want to upset the brake system if I don't have to. Any other caveats to worry about? Thanks.

I can’t believe nobody here has done a steering rack replacement…??? Well, I found out for myself that it is impossible to do the job without removing the master cylinder. The factory manual does not mention it, so did I do something unnecessary? And, sure enough, I buggered up one of my brake line connections when putting things back together, foricing me to purchase an entire set of hard brake lines to get the piece I screwed up. Not the happiest of campers here. Good luck to anyone having to replace their steering rack.
