Nice! Best of luck. I will say... having the paint done is huge! ...says the guy up to his elbows in body filler dust (IMG:style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif)

I love and approve of the color, which appears to be Laguna Blue, I could be wrong. Regardless it looks fantastic.

Oslo Blue. Not a 914 color; used on the 62-63 356 and a few 2007-2008 911s.

Beautiful color choice. Now the fun of assembly begins as the chassis starts to look like a car again. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/beerchug.gif)

Yes, beautiful color looks like some nice straight body work as well.
Is that a base coat/clear coat application?
I'll be painting mine next spring its originally marathon blue which I like but I may have found a new color...more pictures please.

(IMG:style_emoticons/default/welcome.png) Nice color...vibrant. Good job deleting the warts. Hoping you're not going to add vinyl to the sail panels. What year is it? Engine?

Your family is just jealous you get to have so much fun. Enjoy the journey. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif)

Wow! so much interest. I will keep you posted.
No vinyl. I also had the roof painted after sanding it smooth. Purists won't like it but I do. I had the underside painted with black bedliner. It came out amazing. I will post a picture. The engine is 4 cyl. 103 x 78. By my math that is 103 x 103 x 78 x 3.14159 = about 2.6 litre. It is a 1970. The metal work was expensive and set the project back a little.

I converted to 5 bolt and plan (planned) to run 15x6 Fuchs. I see them transacting for around $3000 plus refinishing. The metal work and paint was A LOT, so I might get stuck with "Fuchs style" ($450 or so each) for a year or two. Who knew a gallon of clear was $1000. Who knew that the wrong guy media blasting it could warp it and force you to buy replacement hood and trunk.

That is a very cool color. Post lots of pics of the assembly!

I really liked putting my 914 back together after paint. Bought a LOT of new stuff like lenses, trim etc. New paint makes everything else look old.
