I have this strange problem. The front and rear turn signals work until I turn on the headlights. The front turn signals stop working, but the rear ones continue to work. Where should I look?

Check the wiring for all four turn signal buckets. Having a couple of wires switched can cause this behavior.

Search through this page for drawings of how they should be wired: https://bowlsby.net/914/Classic/TechNotebook.htm

Hey Dennis,

As Dave mentioned, check the wiring on the front buckets. Make sure the ground is connected to ground. The only connection between turnsignals and headlights is the dual filament front turnsignal sockets where the low intensity light is powered by headlights and the high intensity light is powered by the flasher relay.
